Dolphin Studio

Every year I get a Dolphin Studio calendar for Christmas. At least I know that I will actually be really happy about one of the things that I receive. These calendars are so beautiful - it is like hanging a new piece of art on the wall each month. They are 12” x 24” handmade silk screened prints made by a family in Stockbridge, Massahusetts. They are now sold via Etsy and you can even order framed months - great birthday gift!

Milk & Honey

I am almost 6 feet tall and have matching big feet. So it is hard for me to find the perfect shoe. If I like the toe shape, the heel is too high. If I am in love with the color, I don’t like the fabric. So when my friend Dori told me about her shoe company - Milk & Honey - I almost wept with joy. You start by choosing a silhouette and customize from there - color, heel, decoration, material. Instead of spending a fortune on a dozen shoes that are almost perfect, get one pair that are exactly what you want.

BATH TOYS! We are always looking for great bath toys - especially the ones that provide fun for us and for Georgie. So we were so happy when we found Milliwik who makes georgeous waterproof game cards that make tubby time a total blast.
The founders of Milliwik Game say that they: “enjoy life and enjoy helping others in their pursuit to do the same.” They first came up with the idea for Splash Jack because they wanted to play card games in the hot tub with their friends.

Stomping Ground Photos

Remember your school pictures? Awkwardly resting your head on your hand. Fake tree branch and mottled sky in the background. And the forced class picture with the I.D. board being held in the front row by the cutest, tiniest kids (I was always in the last row).

Thankfully Stomping Ground Photo has come along to “reinvent the school picture.” They emphasize allowing the kids to be themselves. For Georgie that meant wearing a poofy tutu and brandishing a wand. The result is that the photos really reflect the kids’ personalities. The prints aren’t cheap but they are so worth it. They also offer personal/private sessions:
